About Us
EMDR.HEALTH is owned and operated by MSquared LLC, which was created by Wendy McSparren and John Mihalik. Wendy and John founded EMDR.HEALTH to help solve the problems and challenges with providing EMDR through teletherapy.
Wendy is a practicing LCSW and is the owner of WPA Therapy. John is an experienced software engineer. Wendy and John met in 2012 and were married one year later in 2013.
We created EMDR.HEALTH soon after Covid started impacting the world. Remote audio/video sessions became the most accepted and sometimes the only way to continue to engage with clients. However, Wendy soon noticed that delivering EMDR through these online video tools proved to be challenging. John was interested in learning more about the problem. As the couple talked the idea was formed. EMDR specialists need a fully integrated teletherapy solution with remotely controlled BLS.
Our vision is to provide therapists simple, affordable, and easy to use tools to help them serve their clients better. We decided to build a customized tool that fully integrated online video and software created BLS tools that could work together seamlessly.
Therapist
Wendy McSparren is the founder and CEO of WPA Therapy, a mental health group practice located in Murrysville, PA.
Wendy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30+ years of experience. Wendy has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and is an EMDR Certified Therapist.
Wendy is a LCSW and holds an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a Master of Science in Business from Robert Morris University. Wendy has been serving clients in her local area for years and is actively engaged with helping to also serve her community.
Engineer
John Mihalik is a highly-experienced software engineer and technology team leader. John has served as the Chief Technology Officer for multiple technology companies and is an active hands-on developer.
John has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
